A innocuous looking young boy, Rishi boards the train from Mumbai to Surat

His dad came to drop the mom and son in the AC chair car and his adventures started from thereon. Not willing to sit on the allotted seat he jumped into the adjoining seat , luckily the passenger was to board from Borivali!

He runs out of her mother’s lap every moment , while she chases her up all the way till the coach door. But he refuses to settle at one place.

Soon he was the darling of the coach with everyone tracking him and seeing that he doesn’t fall on the way. Offering him sweets and other eatables became a small time competition, which he enjoyed participation!

After an hour of relentless efforts her mother finally tried the old trick , opens up the cartoon videos on her mobile . That soothes him off somewhat while he munches a few chips , but the peace was short lived. Here he pops out of the lap again and runs to the end of the corridor, but thankfully stopped by an old bearded man and pulled towards his seat. He doesn’t speak much , probably not yet opened his vocal chords, but his acts speak far louder , something which we as grown ups need to emulate ! He is carefree young lad enjoying the journey called life.

At Vapi several of the office goers get down and he has a far more open space now jumping from one to the other seat, before getting on top of the centre table and having a gala time there!!

Childhood is so much fun and mindfulness , one does what one enjoys. No worries of being seen and commented upon , of the rights and wrongs , of being irresponsible and yet getting away ! Of hearing all preaches yet not acting on one of them!! I wish I had the luxuries ☺️

Lucknow

When I left Lucknow on April 12 after a fulfilling journey that lasted 2 years, didnt realise that it would take 6 long years to come back in 2018 to the City of smiles. The City has changed and you notice it from the window of your aircraft watching the shining steel structure of the new airport, with the Grand old terminal replicating the Char Bagh Railway station, now a privilege of International travellers. But now you really don't feel like landed in City of Nawabs where the first hoarding you used to read as "Smile - You are in Lucknow", instead the multinational brands have taken that space 😔
But the Taj hotel hasn’t changed , its plush green gardens well maintained as always take away NES heart. And off course thr mehmanawazi of the hotel team is unparalleled. I left early morning next day for the iconic botanical garden also known as Sikander baug mesmerises each soul. The peacocks add to the nature’s beauty and make u feel like heaven. There are several morning walkers groups and now a couple of yoga enthusiasts too, one can really get charged for the day.

My visit wasn’t complete without the sumptuous street food of Lucknow the GOL Gapaas ,kachodis and dal moths.

Loaded with the freshly packed tunde kebabs I returned in the evening with fond memories of the short visit ,with a promise to come back soon and a longer stay.

If the Black Swan was a CEO...: The art and science of managing Indian culture...

Indian Employees are one of the most hard working and sincere lot in the world, the only thing you need to get them around is to care for them , motivate them and be a mentor for them rather than a Boss. Yes, off course you will have to carry the stick occasionally so as to remind them that you mean business, but most of the time if you show that you are with them in times of crisis, you are with them to guide and lead , they will give their lives for you.
Also, it doesn't pay to play politics amongst your team, because sooner or later they wud pick that up which will lower their productivity, making slife difficult for you. You need to be one amongst them, rather than above them always.
